We would like to say a huge thank you to members of the Facebook group ‘Canterbury Residents Group’ who have generously donated over £4000 to Catching Lives.
We rely on the support of our local community to continue providing vital services to homeless clients who access our day centre on Station Road East. This money will make a massive difference to the support that can be offered especially as we have experienced a busy winter, running both our night shelter in churches and also 47 nights of SWEP at the centre.
Edd Withers, administrator of the group, says: “Canterbury Residents Group serves the entire community, and that includes the homeless and vulnerably housed of Canterbury, so it was important to me that we try and do something to help. At Christmas and throughout the year a hot topic of conversation on the group is the plight of those in need on the streets, so it makes perfect sense that our annual fundraiser is for Catching Lives. Hopefully we can raise even more next year!”
