Catching Lives is recruiting for a new volunteer coordinator…
12 Month Contract
Hours: 20 hrs per week
(normally between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday but occasional weekend and evening work will be required)
Salary £18,500 (pro-rata) for the duration of the contract.
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Closing date: Friday 30th March 2018 at midday
Interview date: Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th April 2018
CatchingLives are seeking to employ a person to co-ordinate and supervise all of our volunteers. This is a role currently performed by one of our Project Leaders, but due to a significant increase in workload, we need someone to take on this very important role, on its own. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role that involves working with our project leaders and General Manager to recruit, train and support volunteers in the various roles they take on for us.
The ideal applicant should have some knowledge of volunteering and what it involves and some experience of recruitment and training, but the successful candidate will be working alongside the person who is our current co-ordinator, so a lack of such experience isn’t a barrier. Motivation, initiative, intelligence and being good with people are more important. The post also requires good verbal and written communication skills and a degree of IT competence. The post is subject to Enhanced DBS checks as the successful applicant will have some contact with our clients, some of whom have complex support needs.
To apply, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the role description. On receiving and reading this you should submit a CV and covering letter (which should set out, in detail, why you should be shortlisted for interview) to the same email address.
Catchinglives are an equal opportunities employer and we actively encourage applications from all sections of the community, this includes anyone with a criminal record, people with young children and people with disabilities.
