Catching Lives Online Art Auction

November 18, 2020 by admin in Uncategorized

To celebrate 10 years of Catching Lives and help raise much needed funds during these very difficult times for all charities, we are holding an online art auction for two weeks in November. Kent artists have been very generous and we have secured work by the likes of Billy Childish and local Kent street artist Catman. Keith Brymer-Jones from Channel 4’s ‘Great Pottery Throw Down’ has donated a one-off ceramic piece for the auction. Barclays Bank in Whitstable have very kindly agreed to match-fund every pound we raise.

The auction begins on Sunday 22nd November at 12 noon and ends on Sunday 6th at 6pm. The auction is taking place on the charity auction website Jumblebee. Bidding on the artwork is very simple: just follow the link the below and click on any ‘lot’ that you like.

To enter the Jumbleebee website and bid click here

Bidders will be immediately notified via a pop up and email of their bid status so you’ll always know if you are the highest bidder. If you don’t want to keep on bidding, proxy bidding can be enabled, allowing you to bid automatically up to the maximum amount you want to pay. Those with the highest bid at the end of the auction will receive payment instructions by e-mail from Jumblebee to pay by debit/credit card. Once payment has been made you can arrange collection from our centre in Canterbury by e-mailing Mick James at:

fundraising@catchinglives.org or calling 07762 183 717

By taking part you can grab yourself a wonderful piece of original art and help Catching Lives provide their support for the homeless. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy as bids cannot be withdrawn.

This year has been a tough time for artists too and we extremely grateful to those who have not only generously donated work to this auction, but those who have given their time to us over the past few years to deliver art workshops to homeless people. As a result some of our clients have had success in exhibiting their own work to a wider audience. Huge thanks to all the artists who continue to support and inspire us.

Here is a taster of some of the art on offer.
