We are looking to recruit paid sessional overnight workers who are free to start immediately and be available until 31st March 2019.
The shifts will either be at:
-One of 7 church halls in Canterbury, used for our winter shelter, between 9pm and 8am (either split between sleeping and awake, or awake for full night depending on venue). Paid depending on number of hours asked to be awake (so will range from 6 to 13).
-At Canterbury Open Centre, Station Road East (when the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) is activated, working between 7:30pm and 8:30am. This will involve either being awake for full night (13 hours paid) or awake 7:30-11:30pm and then sleeping for remainder of night (6 paid hours (4 awake and 2 extra added for being onsite for remainder of night)).
Both roles will be paid at £9.40 ph.
Both shifts will involve working alongside another paid staff member. All workers will undergo a paid induction. Some workers may be given a certain number of hours a week guaranteed, however others may be on standby to work on certain nights, but in this situation we cannot necessarily guarantee a certain amount of hours due to the unpredictability of when SWEP will be called.
