We are delighted to announce that Charlotte Aylwin has run the equivalent of 3 marathons, raising £715 for catching Lives. This distance was ran over 3 weeks – from Monday 17th Dec- 6th Jan 2019.
3 weeks, 126km, some funky blisters, but most importantly £715 (!!!!!) later, the challenge is over! I am incredibly grateful to everybody who has followed this journey: every like, comment, share and donation has helped to raise awareness for Catching Lives and the amazing work that they do in Canterbury and East Kent with the homeless and vulnerably housed. This would all have been pointless without your support and generosity so thank you once again!!!!! I can never say it enough
We have seen an incredibly busy start to the year, with 51 clients accessing on 16th Jan, the most we have had in a single day for a very long time. We are providing 3 meals a day, running a winter shelter which is at full capacity most nights, and also opening our daycentre overnight during periods of severe cold weather. This all adds to the costs of running, and the money Charlotte has raised will make a huge difference to what we can do to support people. Thank you to Charlotte and all who supported her for their help from everyone at Catching Lives.
