Harriet Sintim, Sally Boateng, Annabel Appiah and Jennifer Obedala, all Occupational Therapist students at Christ Church Canterbury University, have launched a fundraiser to distribute self-care packs to the homeless and rough sleepers in Canterbury. All the funding raised will fund these packs that will provide reusable face masks, hand creams, toiletries, and healthy fruit bars to individuals on the street which will be given out by Catching Lives in the run-up to Christmas.

This Project is part of the student’s Professional academic development. They hope this project will create a link between the OT student community and the Homeless community and help change attitudes and inform people about the issues surrounding homelessness; issues that, in this era of cuts and austerity, have potential to affect us all.
Everyone at Catching Lives thanks the students for undertaking this fundraiser and supporting our work. It is much appreciated.
