We are very pleased to announce that CatchingLives has been chosen by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Canterbury to be one of their charities for their year in office, alongside two other Kent charities, Porchlight and Kent Air Ambulance.
The Lady Mayoress ‘ Charity Committee is directed by Claire Taylor, the The Lady Mayoress and her mother Ann Taylor who is the Lord Mayor of Canterbury. Both are hoping to raise significant sums to support what they consider to be vital local services.
The Lord Mayor of Canterbury stated: “During 2013/14 I have visited many voluntary organisations and have great admiration for people who so generously give up their time to help others.” Ann hopes her direct involvement with the organisations she has met, and those she has yet to meet, will continue.
The official Mayor Making event was held on Wednesday 14th May where James Duff, CatchingLives’ Chairman of Trustees (pictured above with the Mayor and Mayoress), was also in attendance. James said:
“I was delighted to be part of this special occasion and it is absolutely wonderful that CatchingLives has been singled out by the Lord and Lady Mayor for it’s hard work during the course of the year.”
There will be a variety of fundraising events over the next 12 months and we will keep you advised of all of them.
