This year’s Lee Evans Partnership Charity Quiz took place on Friday 11th March at the Westgate Hall in Canterbury and saw 22 teams competing across 9 rounds of questions. The night raised an amazing £2, 800 for Catching Lives which will be used to support the homeless and vulnerably housed in the Canterbury district.
Catching Lives entered its own team, consisting of staff, family and friends, who were shocked to find they had come in second place, beaten to the prize by Kreston Reeves chartered accountants, who very kindly donated back their prize of two magnums of champagne and £150 cash to Catching Lives.
After the quiz, a raffle was held and included items such as Coldplay tickets which were kindly donated by the band. As an extreme display of generosity, the winner of these tickets returned them to be auctioned, raising an incredible £400.
We thank Lee Evans Partnership for their hard work in organising an extremely fun evening and for their ongoing support of Catching Lives.
Thank you to all who took part on the night, and to all those who donated items for the raffle, including Morrisons, Waitrose, Boots, Bike Tart, Blink Architecture, London Golf Club, Elite AutoTek, Coleman & James, TJ Fruiterers, The Marlowe Theatre, and Coldplay.
In January, Lee Evans Partnership chose Catching Lives as their charity of the year for the second year running, and last year raised a staggering £6,500 through fundraising events such as the Yorkshire 3-Peaks challenge and a 300+ kilometer cycling challenge from London to Paris.
