Lounge On The Farm Announce Catching Lives As Its Festival Charity

Lounge On The Farm Festival Charity

Lounge on the Farm, the popular Kent festival which takes place near Canterbury every year, has selected Catching Lives as its supported charity for this year’s event starting on the 9th July.

One of the organiser’s and founder’s of Lounge on The Farm, Matt Gough, says ‘to help support a good cause is always our aim but this year we are delighted to be able to support a local charity and one which is really working hard to make a difference to the local community through tackling homelessness in Canterbury. We hope our support will help the charity continue to make an impact and we hope festival goers will visit their stand in Charity Corner to find out more and how they can help’.

In 2009 alone the festival was voted Best Line Up (UK Festival Awards), in the Top 20 Festivals (The Telegraph), Best of The Family Fests (Times2) and Best Festival For Foodies (The Guardian).

This year’s festival where the capacity has been increased to 10,000 by popular demand expects to be its best year yet with a superb eclectic mix of artists and festival revelry.

Located at Merton Farm on the outskirts of the south of the city, this year’s festival music line up includes the superb Martha and the Vandellas, Hercules and Love Affair and Beardyman. Also appearing at the festival is a new comedy stage headlined by the BBCs Phill Jupitus and his Comedy Improv All Stars and raconteur Howard Marks.
