We would like to say a huge thank you to Phoebe who held a soft animal sale at her school (Whitstable Endowed Junior School) last week, raising an amazing £39.50 which she has donated to us to help our homeless clients.
Most of the animals belonged to Phoebe and her older brother but other pupils at the school also brought some in too.
Phoebe’s mum Fiona says: “Phoebe had wanted to raise some money for charity and she had a lot of soft animals – we thought they would be likely to sell as lots of her friends love them. We were thinking about charities and I had read about Catching Lives. Phoebe had become more aware of people living on the streets around Canterbury and Whitstable and we had talked about possible reasons why this sadly happens. I suggested Catching Lives to her and she was keen to do this. She visited the centre with me to collect posters and leaflets which have been put up around the school.”
Thank you again to Phoebe for her hard work and kind donations, and of course thanks to everyone who brought in and purchased a toy, and in turn has supported our clients.
