Not content with just giving us a £5000 grant earlier this year, Santander have recently helped us with the redecoration of the kitchen at our Canterbury Open Centre. As well as providing £250 towards the paint and equipment, the staff of the local Canterbury branch came along and got stuck to some very grimy work. Alongside some of our regular volunteers and ex-service users, the staff, lead by Branch Manager, Amy Cannon, spent two days emptying and organising store cupboards, cleaning, painting and varnishing. The work was done over a weekend to minimise the impact to the services to our clients and we would have struggled to get the work done without them.
Amy, pictured above with some of her team, said: “The team at Santander Canterbury decided we wanted to support a local charity that we could help within our community. Some of our customers have needed the support from Catching Lives and have spoken highly about the Charity and the Services they provide.
The Santander team was made up of: Amy Cannon, Lorraine Stokes, Noel Eaton, Craig Maxwell, Gabrielle Bowyer, Louise Johnston, Richard Gransden, Victoria Edwards and Toby Harris. A huge thank you to all of them.
