We are delighted that pupils and staff at Spires Academy have delivered an assembly on homelessness and the work of Catching Lives. They have also started a collection to support our clients, with the donation list including items such as tissues, chocolate and treats for dogs!
During the assembly, some of the poetry that one of our clients wrote during an art activity held at our day centre was read to attendees and we hear there was a very emotional response to this. The client in question has been informed and says it is “inspirational to see his work being read to so many people” and he plans to continue to create further pieces, using his writing pad that was kindly donated to him.
As a small charity we rely on those who donate to us and raise awareness of our charity and appreciate all the support from our local community. Thank you again to all at Spires Academy.
