Art Activity Co-ordinator
12 Month Contract
Hours: 10 hrs per week
(normally between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday but occasional weekend and evening work may be required)
Salary £18,500 (pro-rata) for the duration of the contract.

CatchingLives are seeking to employ an Art Activity Co-ordinator to facilitate a range of creative arts activities appropriate to the capabilities and interests of clients at Canterbury Open Centre, which is a day centre for people who are rough sleeping and homeless. The purpose of these activities is to restore wellbeing, regain confidence and self-esteem, build basic skills, raise aspirations, improve social and interpersonal skills and nurture talent.This is a varied, challenging and rewarding job that involves working with clients to support people moving from homelessness into accommodation.
The ideal applicant should have some kind of background in art and similar activities and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the therapeutic value of art and art based activities. The post also requires good communication skills because part of the role involves sourcing external activities for our clients to become involved in. The post is subject to Enhanced DBS checks as the successful applicant will have some contact with our clients, some of whom have complex support needs.
The successful candidate will be expected to start at the beginning of September.
