Double your difference this winter
Catching Lives has launched this year's Winter Appeal, raising money to support
people who are homeless and insecurely housed in Canterbury and East Kent.
Winter can be an especially difficult time for people who are homeless. As the days get colder and darker, the need for a safe, warm space with access to food and support becomes even more urgent.
Our doors will continue to open every day through the winter for those in need of a safe place, while we work with people to make plans to end their homelessness.
This year, we are hoping to raise £20,000 towards the delivery of our services, and thanks to some generous anonymous supporters, every donation made to our Winter Appeal on The Big Give will be doubled! That means that if you donate between November 1st 2026 and January 31st 2027, you can have double the impact through the winter.*
A donation of £8 could provide breakfast and lunch for a week for one person - our match donors will turn that into meals for two people. £25 could pay for a weatherproof sleeping bag for someone sleeping rough, and by donating to our Appeal, you can ensure that becomes two sleeping bags.
Every contribution helps to make a difference, helping us to offer practical support and essentials to improve people's situations.

*All donations up to a total of £20,000 will be doubled. Donations must be paid onto the Big Give page to be eligible for match funding.
