We're looking for a Project Worker to join us in helping people who are homeless.

Catching Lives offers people a place to go for support 7 days a week. This role forms part of our weekend team, providing access to essential facilities while so many other services are closed. You can apply for the position either part-time (Saturday to Monday) or full-time (Saturday to Wednesday), 8.30am - 4.30pm at our Day Centre on Station Road East, Canterbury. The salary is £26,288 pa, pro rata for the part-time post.

Project Workers are responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the day centre and drop-in. The role includes practical tasks (e.g. reception, laundry and bag storage, sorting donations, keeping the space clean and tidy), alongside one-to-one support work with people who are homeless or insecurely housed.

Project Workers are always on shift with at least one other member of staff. They coordinate with colleagues, volunteers and external partners to deliver a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment in which people get the help that they need to make positive changes and move on in their lives.
