Catching Lives is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Pearce as the charity’s new Chair.

Teresa brings with her a wealth of experience in public service, housing policy, and community advocacy. During her nine years as Member of Parliament for Erith and Thamesmead, she was a strong voice on housing, regeneration, and social justice issues. She previously served as Shadow Minister for Housing and Planning, where she worked extensively on policies aimed at increasing housing supply and improving protections for tenants. Teresa is a trustee of Canterbury Housing Advice Centre (CHAC).

In accepting the role, Teresa Pearce said: “I am honoured to take on the position of Chair at such a critical time. Homelessness remains one of the most urgent challenges facing our society. I look forward to working with the Board, staff, volunteers, and partners to strengthen our impact, advocate for lasting solutions, and ensure that everyone has access to safe and secure housing."

Tasmin Maitland, Chief Executive of Catching Lives, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Teresa to the Board and look forward to working with her to develop and strengthen Catching Lives' work with people who are homeless or insecurely housed.”
