This is your September newsletter update from Catching Lives. This month we’re celebrating our win at the Kent Charity Awards, where we were named Community Charity of the Year. A big thanks to all our staff and volunteers whose hard work has been recognised by the award judges, as well as to our partners and supporters across the community - we couldn’t do it without you! Project Workers Paul and Becky are pictured collecting the award.
Paying tribute to Martin Edwards
Catching Lives has paid tribute to former volunteer Martin Edwards, who sadly died in August.
Graeme Solly, Manager at Catching Lives, said: “Everyone – staff and clients – always looked forward to seeing him, not just for his warmth and friendliness but also for his wonderful cooking and ability to keep us all calm and organised in the kitchen.”
Harvest Festival
We’re thrilled to see Harvest Festival donations coming in every day, with delicious fresh produce and welcome essentials for our store cupboards from churches, schools and community groups. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
Please bring donations in a Bag For Life to our centre in Station Road East any day between 9am and 4pm or contact info@catchinglives.org
