Catching Lives is calling on the community to take part in its annual Harvest Festival Appeal. We’re seeking donations of essential food items to help stock our pantry and provide year-round support to people experiencing homelessness.

Harvest Festival donations play a vital role in sustaining Catching Lives’ services, ensuring that individuals facing housing insecurity have access to nourishing food all year round.

Tasmin Maitland, Chief Executive of Catching Lives, said: “Harvest Festival is an important time for Catching Lives, as donations help us to serve breakfast, lunch and refreshments every day through the rest of the year.

“Your support will help people experiencing homelessness – a hot drink and something to eat makes all the difference to people’s well-being and focus, so that we can work together on finding routes out of homelessness.”

Items we need most include: coffee, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, hot chocolate, chocolate spread, honey, marmite, biscuits, sugar, custard, squash and cereal. You can also see a list of the most useful items to donate on this page.

While all donations are appreciated, Catching Lives kindly asks supporters to avoid donating items that we already have in abundance: rice, pasta, spaghetti hoops, tinned soup, teabags and jam.

Important note: if you are planning to deliver a large collection, please contact Catching Lives in advance so preparations can be made. Our access to transport is limited so please deliver to the Centre where possible. Email: fundraising@catchinglives.org or phone: 01227 464904.
