Our Spring Into Action campaign is well underway. Huge thanks to everyone supporting us so far, including Elizabeth who ran her first half marathon and Claire who's training to run the London marathon in aid of Catching Lives.
Our Chief Executive, Tasmin, is springing into action with 100 Miles in May - walking a hundred miles (not all in one go!) to raise funds for the day centre and see more of East Kent. Her navigation skills aren't the best, so look out for her looking lost near you...

At the day centre
In March we were joined by a team of volunteers from CLW Kortrijk vocational school in Belgium. They helped out with cooking and activities, including chess and art.
At the beginning of March our extended evening provision came to an end. We're back to 9am-2pm drop-in, 2-4pm activities weekdays (except Weds afternoon when we have team meeting). Activities include arts, scrabble, quizzes, table tennis, yoga and cookery. Our clients have made burgers, pasties, scones, cookies and more!
Our amazing volunteers are vital to the smooth running of the day centre, we're very lucky to have such a dedicated team.
At the bookshop
Our volunteer-run bookshop at the Crooked House on Palace Street continues to go from strength to strength, both in-store and online at the Catching Lives Bookshop eBay store. Please think about donating your pre-loved books, and drop by for a browse if you're passing.
A lovely film about the bookshop recently featured on eBay UK's instagram feed.
Team update
We said a fond goodbye to team members Mick James and Sarah Prior, as they head on to new things with our thanks for all their hard work at Catching Lives.
We're hiring a Fundraising & Communications Coordinator, closing date 13 April - find out more and download the application pack here.
